Whether you’re a casual trail rider\, a seasoned horse owner\, or someone who’s curious about endurance and competitive trail rides\, this series will show you what distance riding is about. From AERC endurance rides to ECTRA competitive trail rides\, we’ll break down the rules\, expectations\, and culture in a clear\, welcoming way—no prior competition experience required. \nAcross four engaging sessions\, you’ll learn how to prepare your horse\, condition safely\, understand vet checks\, manage electrolytes\, choose tack\, camp comfortably at rides\, and walk into your first event feeling confident and informed. Distance riding is about partnership\, horsemanship\, and finishing with a healthy horse—and you don’t need a special breed\, fancy equipment\, or years of experience to get started. If you’ve ever wondered “Could I do this?”—this series has your answer. \nEach session will be offered twice to comprise a 4-part series. The presentation materials will be provided on https://thesawyerfarms.com/distance-riding-101/. \n\n\n\nSession 1\nThursday Feb 5\n7:00-8:30 EST\n\n\nMonday Feb 9\n\n\nSession 2\nThursday Feb 12\n\n\nMonday Feb 16\n\n\nSession 3\nThursday Feb 19\n\n\nMonday Feb 23\n\n\nSession 4\nThursday Feb 26\n\n\nMonday Mar 2\n\n\n\n  \nCalendar  Invite: https://calendar.app.google/yvR1uy35w8HHLkEz5 \nJoin Zoom Meeting https://us04web.zoom.us/j/73835592709?pwd=yU0dGn9mVEaAehjO8BCIFcdy81wVLM.1 \n  \nContact Rob Sawyer (sawfish99@gmail.com) if you have any questions. \n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
