Rhythm of the Rein, Inc is 501(C)3 nonprofit that provides therapeutic riding/driving and hippotherapy services to Vermont and New Hampshire Residents. This program is a premier accredited program through Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH).

Would you like to help Rhythm of the Rein in a meaningful way?  They are searching for a Part-time Assistant Barn Manager.

  • Location: Marshfield, VT
  • Looking for a minimum of 20 hours/week, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Job duties will include:  Turn-outs/Turn-ins,  Cleaning Stalls, Stock Tanks, Water/feed buckets,  Picking pastures and fence repair, Minor repair of equipment such as wheelbarrows, muck forks, and stalls etc.,  Assist with ordering supplies such as shavings, grain, and supplements,   Assist with managing vet/farrier appointments and holding horses for appointments when needed, Blanketing/wrapping and minor first aid for Horses/Emergency Vet Calls, De-worming and other horse health care, Paperwork and record keeping,  Interactions with visitors, boarders, staff, clients, farm owners and Rhythm of the Rein (ROTR) board members, AM/PM feeding and barns checks as required.

  • Applicants should be over 18 years of age.
  • Must have a current driver’s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have or being willing to get First Aid\CPR certified.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Previous experience working  hands on with horses is beneficial.
  • We are looking for a self-starter, organized, reliable, friendly with good communications and good time management skills.   Someone passionate about horses and horses helping people.

We are not a competition/show barn. ROTR has a very relaxed, open, and welcoming atmosphere for all levels, disciplines, and backgrounds!
