Helpful Tips from VHC Members-
Here’s a recipe I use for natural fly spray. Seems to work as well as anything else, but isn’t toxic and can spray as much or as often as needed! I use essential oils, and the 8oz bottles I’ve gotten have lasted 3 summers!
1 bottle
Fill 1/3 with Apple Cider Vinegar
Fill up to bottom of neck with water
8-10 drops each of Geranium oil, cedar oil, lemongrass oil, tea tree oil and citronella oil
Fill 1/3 with Apple Cider Vinegar
Fill up to bottom of neck with water
8-10 drops each of Geranium oil, cedar oil, lemongrass oil, tea tree oil and citronella oil
Tea tree is good for warding off ticks, citronella for mosquitoes, and cedar for many other insects! And the ACV is great for the skin and coat helping to support natural coat oils.
Give it a good shake before each use!
