2026 Fire School

North East International Mutual Aid (NEIMA) will be holding our Annual Regional Fire School at the North Country Career Center on the weekend of April 25th – 26th. Registration for classes offered at the NEIMA Regional Fire School is now open. The following classes are being offered this year:

Two-Day Classes
Firefighter Self Rescue/RIT
Fire Officer 101
Ventilation
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
One-Day Classes 
Fire/EMS Emergency Communications (Saturday)
Large Animal Rescue (Saturday)
Tanker Shuttle (Sunday)
Vehicle Fires (Sunday)

Fees
One-day classes: $60
Two-day classes: $120
Enrollment includes lunch on the day(s) of your class
Doors open at 07:00 both days. Classes start at 08:00.

Your registration will be sent to your department’s “approver.” This is generally the Chief or other officer delegated for this task. You will receive notification when your registration has been approved or if it has been rejected. Communication from the School will be sent to the email address you enter during registration, be sure the email address is correct and that you check it regularly for communication. An invalid email address may invalidate your registration. Please keep the emails you will receive from “Google Forms” and “NEIMA Fire School Form” until after the school weekend.Ventilation class applicants: This class is offered by the Vermont Fire Academy (VFA). If you apply for the  Ventilation class, you must also complete the VFA  General Admission Application. The application is available HERE. The VFA application must be signed by your Department’s Chief, and your Department’s Chief must deliver these completed forms to NEIMA no later than the end of the day on April 10th, 2026. Applications may still be accepted after this time if there is still room in the class.NEIMA After Hours
We will again be hosting “NEIMA After Hours” a discussion with the instructors from MAINE-IAC starting at 17:00 Saturday evening at the Eastside Restaurant. This will be an excellent opportunity to network with peers, engage in discussion about hot topics in the Fire Service, and enjoy a good time with good food and drink.
