The Legislative Committee actively advocates for equine welfare, land use policies, education, funding opportunities, safety, and economic impact in collaboration with other organizations. The committee proactively engages with legislators, horse keepers, and the community.

Trails Committee
The Trails Committee’s purpose is to increase access to horse trails in Vermont through identifying and promoting existing trails, maintaining trails, working with private and public landowners to gain equine access to trails, working with other trails user groups, and educating the public about horses on trails.

Safety Committee
The purpose of the Safety Committee is to enhance public awareness of safety issues around horses as trail and road users and to educate non-equestrians about safely interacting with horses. To promote safe riding and driving by equestrians and to work with other trail-user groups to encourage positive and safe interactions among all users.
