The Vermont Horse Council is dedicated to promoting equine access to the beautiful trails in Vermont. We have a cooperative agreement with Vermont Forests, Parks, and Recreation to assist in managing horse access on state lands, including trails, camping, and parking. This involves monitoring and assisting with the maintenance of existing trails and campsites, identifying and advocating for additional trails for equine use, applying for grants to make trail or campsite improvements, and marking and mapping trails. We also are members of various trail organizations and have information relationships with equine organizations and clubs.
