The 2024 Equine Industry Summit is in the books! The support from our sponsors, the informative speakers, the enthusiastic participants combined to create our best Summit yet!
Take some time now to review the Summit follow up information below. You’ll be reminded of the ideas and concerns shared that day – and you’ll also see that work has already begun to clarify the definition of agriculture and to ensure that equines are included. There is more to come – keep checking our website for updates as the VHC continues to work on behalf of the equine industry. And thanks for joining us at the 20214 Summit!
As a reminder, we were fortunate to hear From the Anson Tebbits, Denny Emerson, Vermont Farm Bureau, Vermont Law School, and Vermont Dept of Tourism & Marketing. We learned about and discussed how equine businesses fit into the definition of agriculture, opportunities to build equine agritourism within Vermont, tools for community trail access, land use regulations and identified industry-wide priorities.
